Aureon is a high-level business infrastructure built on top of Stripe Connect. Payment Service Providers vs. Business Platforms

Payment Service Providers (PSPs) Stripe and other Payment Service Providers (PSPs) offer an accessible and convenient abstraction to facilitate transactions on top of underlying credit card networks & banks.

We believe in transparency and don’t want to scare customers into thinking it’s impossible to manage global sales yourself.

International Sales & Taxes

Most countries and jurisdictions globally impose sales taxes on digital goods (VAT, GST, US Sales Tax, etc.). Even if you aren’t an MoR, you need tools to handle this professionally. Merchants are typically responsible for 1) capturing & 2) remitting sales taxes.

1. Capturing. Charging the consumer the correct tax rate based on their location. Aureon integrates Stripe Tax natively to automate this. Every checkout through Aureon identifies the customer’s location and applies the correct tax in real-time.
2. Remitting. Filing & paying those taxes to authorities. Since you are the merchant on Aureon, you handle the filing. However, we provide the detailed reports and automated invoicing that make this process straightforward.

Many jurisdictions don’t require registration until you reach certain sales thresholds (e.g., $100k -$500k in some US states). Aureon helps you monitor these thresholds so you know exactly when it’s time to register. Standard PSP (Stripe)

Aureon Coverage

We support global payments via Stripe Connect. We provide the technical compliance layer for your international sales. As your infrastructure partner, Aureon ensures that your checkouts are compliant and your customers receive proper documentation regardless of where they are in the world. Expanding Your Business Managing global taxes standing alone can be expensive. Professional accounting firms often charge:

• ~$500 upfront for registration.
• ~$300 per filing (quarterly).

For many developers starting out, you don’t need to register everywhere upfront due to tax thresholds. Aureon allows you to grow safely. We monitor your global sales volume and alert you when you are approaching thresholds in specific markets (US, UK, EU, etc.).
